Kenya participated in the sub-regional meeting that was held to validate the decision-making framework tool in Eastern and Southern Africa and has since created a country-specific framework. In 2009, the country held a national stakeholder consultation to discuss malaria vaccine trials, review the framework for Kenya, and to discuss the steps that needed to be taken in order to establish a malaria vaccine working group within the country.
