This site is published by the PATH Malaria Vaccine Initiative (MVI). MVI works with African countries and their international partners to prepare for malaria vaccine decisions. MVI provides financial and direct technical support to African countries that are carrying out activities on their own malaria vaccine decision-making frameworks. Technical support may include:
- Working with researchers and other partners in African countries to gather data for specific elements of the decision-making framework. Such work includes social science research to understand community expectations regarding a malaria vaccine and economic evaluations of particular vaccine candidates.
- Facilitating information-sharing on progress in malaria vaccine development among national and regional stakeholders.
- Engaging African decision-makers to consider early planning for decisions on a first-generation malaria vaccine.
See the people leading the decision-making framework process in some of the countries.
