Learn about malaria vaccine “policy champions”
Malaria vaccine researchers and scientists working in African countries have the opportunity to become “policy champions” for the malaria vaccine decision-making process.
An annual program provides senior malaria vaccine research and development professionals and public health experts with the skills necessary to effectively engage media, translate complex data for lay audiences, and to play a role in policy debates around vaccine development and around decisions on eventual vaccine introduction.
Organized by the PATH Malaria Vaccine Initiative (MVI) in collaboration with Burness Communications, the program is meant to help ensure that African policymakers and their regional and international partners have the information they need to make timely and informed decisions about malaria vaccine use, as soon as a first vaccine becomes available.
