Eastern and Southern Africa Meeting

In August 2008, a meeting in Zambia that focused on Eastern and Southern Africa validated the decision-making framework as a planning tool for future malaria vaccine decisions. The meeting was a collaboration that involved the Roll Back Malaria Partnership, the World Health Organization, and the PATH Malaria Vaccine Initiative.

Approximately 40 participants, including technical experts on malaria, immunization, and health systems, recommended that the planning tool be disseminated to local and global partners and governments, and that a strategy document be developed for its implementation.
